The Dinwiddie High School Science PLC will collaborate to identify and implement best instructional practices by analyzing student performance data from the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) assessments. Teachers will review strand- and standard-level results to determine areas of strength and need across courses such as Earth Science, Biology, and Environmental Science. Educators whose students demonstrate high achievement in specific content areas will lead discussions to share effective strategies, including instructional methods, lab activities, formative assessments, and differentiation techniques used in their classrooms. Through structured collaboration, peer reflection, and the exchange of practical resources, the PLC aims to promote consistency in instruction, strengthen content delivery, and improve overall student achievement on future SOL assessments.
